Position Summary: This positions functions as the Regional Erosion Control and Storm Water Management Program Engineer for multimodal transportation facilities development, construction and maintenance.  Included in the duties of this position will be assisting multi-disciplinary project teams, providing engineering guidance and assistance to staff, consultants and municipalities on project –level erosion control and storm water management analysis, applications and techniques.

Qualifications: A valid Professional Engineering registration and be able to obtain a Wisconsin PE registration within 3 months if PE registration is from another state

The Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works for the City of Oshkosh is searching for a Civil Engineer. This position requires knowledge and understanding of municipal civil engineering principles and practices in three general categories: transportation, storm water and utilities. Work involves, but is not limited to, design and preparation of construction plans and specifications, technical drafting, review of submitted plans and specifications for conformance City of Oshkosh standards, approval of right of way permits, functioning as Project Engineer on various public works projects, and coordination and communication with engineering staff, private utilities and the general public. Assignments afford some opportunity for independent judgment in planning work or in making technical decisions. Construction Management Supervisor
