The City of Oshkosh is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Engineering Division of the Department of
Engineering & Utilities. This position may be filled at the Entry Level Civil Engineer, Civil Engineer, or
Principal Civil Engineer level, depending on qualifications and experience.
This progressive opportunity involves municipal engineering work in the areas of transportation,
stormwater, and utilities. Responsibilities include designing and supporting Capital Improvement
Program (CIP) projects involving streets, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water mains, structures, and
other public works improvements. This position serves as project engineer and prepares or reviews
plans, specifications, estimates, reports, and related project documents. The role also coordinates with
residents, contractors, consultants, and staff to support stormwater utility operations, customer billing,
and project communication. Additional responsibilities include reviewing development plans and
stormwater reports for compliance with City standards and regulations, preparing documentation for
permits and legal agreements, and maintaining engineering records and technical files.
Minimum Qualifications:
Entry Level Civil Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school and
a valid driver’s license.
Civil Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, one to four years of progressively
responsible municipal engineering experience, and a valid driver’s license.
Principal Civil Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, three to five years of related
municipal engineering experience, and a valid driver’s license. Registration as a Professional
Engineer in the State of Wisconsin is preferred.

Utilities Division Director (Stormwater & Sanitary Sewer)

Hiring Range: Commensurate with experience

Work Schedule: Monday –Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., plus
additional hours as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or similar) and a minimum
of 6-years of related progressively responsible experience with 2-years in a supervisory capacity.
A combination of equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
Registration with Wisconsin State Board of Architects, Professional Engineers, Designers and
Land Surveyors as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Senior Civil Engineer
Waukesha County
SALARY RANGE
$44.82 – $62.22
WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
The position works for the Land Resources Manager. Work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The position oversees the County’s stormwater management and erosion control program, including but not limited to plan review, permit issuance, construction site inspection, MS4 reporting/compliance and water quality modeling.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements
1. Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or a closely related field.
2. Four (4) years of responsible, professional civil engineering work experience including the planning, design, and construction of highways and other transportation or soil and water conservation facilities, or a closely related field.
3. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin.

PVA, LLC – Partner Wanted
PVA, LLC is a small group of people dedicated to developing and distributing WinSLAMM, the urban
stormwater quality software used to evaluate pollutant loads in urban stormwater runoff and apply
stormwater control practices to determine pollutant and runoff volume reductions. PVA is looking for at
least one additional partner to assist us with one or more of the following tasks:
1. Training
2. Providing technical assistance to Users
3. Preparing and reviewing technical documents and reports
4. Web site upkeep
5. Software development
If you are a stormwater engineer or scientist with significant experience with and enthusiasm for
stormwater quality and drainage issues who would like to collaborate with us over both the business
and technical sides of the LLC, please let us know. We also hope you will be working with us for the long
term. This work is part time and the time commitment will vary over the course of the year, but no
investment into PVA is required for new partners. Software sales and training revenues are distributed
to partners annually depending upon each partner’s contribution to the LLC.
