Mary Jo Webster
Enjoying retirement
Onalaska, WI

Congratulations to Mary Jo Webster on her retirement from the NASECA-WI Board of Directors. Mary Jo was a founding member of NASECA-WI and has been an important part in the growth of the organization. She has been a strong advocate for addressing stormwater management and erosion control around the state, particularly in the western counties. We will miss the humor, passion for the protection of the environment, and great knowledge of the industry that she brings to monthly board meetings. We are thankful that she has chosen to remain on several committees. Good luck, Mary Jo, but certainly not good-bye!

Mary Jo’s 22-year career in the erosion control and storm water field began in 1992 upon graduation from UW – Platteville with a major in Reclamation and Crop and Soil Science. She spent 6 years working for the State of Wisconsin as the statewide construction site erosion control consultant for Safety and Building Division. She spent the remainder of her career as the Urban Conservation Specialist for La Crosse County Dept. of Land Conservation. While at La Crosse County, she was responsible for the implementation of erosion control, storm water, non-metallic mine reclamation, and MS4 programs.

Mary Jo retired from La Crosse Co. DLC in 2014. Prior to retirement, she maintained certifications as Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ) and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CISEC).
